My goals for 2018

New year, new goals. Setting up for success has got me thinking — What do I want to achieve this year? (and FYI, the fact that it has taken me two weeks to sit down and write this post is an indication that I need to create this list.)

It’s important to write your goals down. It’s important to have them in a place where you can come back to them and check where you stand. I also hope that by writing them here I’ll have the feeling that I HAVE to follow up on them, because I put them out there for the world to see, and I don’t want to disappoint the world.

So here is what I want to achieve in 2018:

  1. Stop procrastinating — If I want to do something, I just need to do it.
  2. Find my passion — I want to make an impact, I want to start something that is my own. I want to help people grow and improve themselves. But I have no idea what this thing would be, so I need to find out just that.
  3. Be healthier — Follow my diet, be active, and stop blaming emotional roller coasters for my love of chocolate.
  4. Stay connected to myself — listen to my internal voice and follow what it is saying. Don’t lie to myself, and focus on what makes me happy.
  5. Stay connected to others — my family, my friends, my significant other. Don’t forget to listen to them and be there for them.
  6. Better work-life balance — work hard, but know to take a vacation when it is needed. Travel more, explore new places, learn new things. Maybe even learn a new language. Money comes and goes, but experiences are for life.

I hope reading my list of goals will encourage you to write one of your own. I’m looking forward to visiting this list again in a year to see how I followed up on my goals and to share my lessons with you. I might even visit in mid-year, just to give a status update.

Let 2018 kick some ass :)

Did you write your own list? share it with me here or via Twitter!
